Since the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers everywhere have felt a lack of emotional regulation and understanding among their students. These are vital skills that students need to learn and, one day, master. Many adults recognize these needs, as well. These books will give our classroom great resources to talk about emotions and feelings. We can learn to identify them, name them, and remain in control of ourselves instead of letting our emotions control us.
Social-emotional learning is often skipped over in favor of content learning.
By using resources related to our content (like books), I can ensure that my students begin to practice recognizing emotions and using coping skills to react to them.
