I teach an amazing group of third graders in Los Angeles. My school is a higher poverty level school but there is no limit on learning with the right resources. We are a great multicultural family that loves to learn.
My students want to have the opportunity to display their best work up in class.
Many of my students speak a language other than English at home. All students receive free breakfast, and over 35% receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
Our class will be working on many projects tied to the 3rd-grade curriculum. Unfortunately, we don't always have the chance to display our final work.
I have requested dry erase sheet protectors that I can mount on our bulletin boards so our students can easily display their work.
Having this opportunity will encourage students to be recognized and supported by their peers. This will help their emotional well being. I have also requested metallic markers, colored pencils, and gel pens so that we will be able to create and display students artwork as well. Your help donating to this project means that this year's students and students in future years beam in pride with their work up on bulletin boards.
