Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Caring for a pet teaches responsibility, compassion and helps students learn about the needs of living things. Classroom pets help encourage students to be responsible and build empathetic skills.

Children can learn to appreciate nature's beauty and feel a sense of accomplishment when they see their class pet flourish as they learn to care for its needs.

We would love for our first class pet to be a few fish. Watching the fish swim can have a calming and relaxing effect. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, which is why I plan on placing our new pet in our calm corner.

Your donation would help obtain the supplies needed such as a tank, heater and other accessories along with some age appropriate books about fish.
