My Project

Elementary students have experienced so much over the last several years and many primary grade students do not have the vocabulary to accurately express the very real feelings they are having. As educators we understand that students communicate in many ways, and not always through spoken words. Books, activities, and plush toys can help our youngest learners learn the means to describe and name the feelings and experiences they have.

Having age appropriate books and characters to help primary students navigate the very big feelings they are having will benefit classrooms teachers to better be able to address both the emotional and educational needs of all students.

Having these book sets in the library allows students the means of learning how to express these feelings in a constructive way. These books also provide lesson topics and ideas for our teachers to utilize within their classrooms to increase the social awareness of all our students.
