Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our charter school is a Title One school serving students from Hamilton and Trenton, New Jersey. Seventy-nine percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch, as well as food for them to bring home to their families over the weekend

Our school is made up of students who want to succeed academically.

Parents choose to send their children to our school because we provide our students with a rigorous curriculum that challenges them while instilling a lifelong love of learning.

Many of my students come from backgrounds that don't make hygiene a priority due to financial status. Being middle schoolers, hygiene is important to them and their peers.

I want to be able to provide my students with resources that will cover their basic hygiene needs.

With these basic hygiene items, I will have them on hand whenever a student might need them. Students need basic hygiene to promote self-confidence! I want to help bridge the gap so there are fewer embarrassing moments and more reasons to smile, feel good, smell good, and look good!
