This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is full of eager Pre-K through 8th grade students who are finding their place in the world. My goal as a teacher is to instill a love of learning through movement. Dance helps cultivate a strong sense of self and encourages students to be bold and meaningful in all they do!

These books and materials support this journey they have embarked on and have been purposefully chosen to represent the cultural backgrounds of my students.

Dance is an abstract art form and visual representation are critical for our students growing minds. Through these books and materials, my students will feel seen, heard, and valued as they explore these stories and grow as artists.
