My Project
Student education is significantly impacted when hunger overpowers their ability to focus.
Nutritional deficiencies can lead to impaired cognitive function, impact mood, increase challenging behavior issues, and the ability to retain information.
making it harder for students to concentrate and perform well academically. When students have bellies full of nutritious foods, supporting healthier brain development, mood, focus, and cognitive abilities improve, leading to increased academic outcomes.
Healthier choices will only benefit students who will eat them. So, students are assisting with developing a school-wide program to make healthier snacks and beverages, that students will eat, available to all students. Implementing student input in the choice is crucial to the success of this project.
