My Project

I teach fifth through eighth grade, Intensive Reading at a small, rural school. I have approximately 70 students total. Many students are unable to bring snacks to school and may have an early or late lunch, so they are hungry during class. I love to have a snack bin that has snacks available to students who need them. They are always so excited to come in and grab a snack and get busy on their work. One student came in my class yesterday and exclaimed, "I have been waiting all day to come to your class! A snack and a lesson, what could be better?" This proved exactly why I keep snacks for these students!
