My students need lots and lots of ink for the classroom printer!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Posada's classroom raised $251

My Students
I teach 8th graders in a suburban school in Queens, New York. I have 165 students that range from advanced students that take the Living Environment Regents course for high school credit to general education classes that take General Science. In the general science classes, there are high performing students, English Language learners, and students with special needs that are in an ICT setting where there is a special education teacher that co-teaches with me to help all students achieve.
Together Everybody Achieves More!
My Project
Have you ever run out of ink on your printer when you have something you desperately needed printed? In my science classroom, we a lot of projects which require students to print out materials whether it's science research, graphics, finished lab reports, science reports, etc. Let's not forget how many times a student needs to hand in a project but their printer is broken or they ran out of ink at home. I never say no to when student needs to print out anything they need for school for any subject, not just mine. But ink is costly for a teacher, especially since we can no longer write supplies off as tax deductions and it has to come out-of-pocket. And the money that is allotted to teachers usually has to go to other school supplies such as paper, pens and other normal everyday supplies.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
