Fed, Cleaned, and Organized Equals Ready to Learn!
My students need chairback buddy pocket charts to organize and care for their school items. I am also requesting granola bars, snacks, undergarments, socks, and shampoo.
I work with a wonderful group of students with special needs. I have students with Down syndrome, autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities. My students are cheerful and love to learn. My students have differing ability levels, from non-verbal to reading at a kindergarten level.
My students benefit from differentiated activities/materials and a hands-on learning experience.
Visuals and tactile materials help my students engage. These students require a small self-contained special education classroom. Our school is an excellent school which caters to students with disabilities.
My Project
Some of my students have difficulty caring for their possessions. I will have my students use their chairback pockets to organize their classwork and homework. Most of my students come from low-income homes and may not have food to eat after school. These granola bars and snacks will give my students something to eat. Some of my students are toilet training and are limited in the undergarments they have for changing. In addition, I have students who come to school with dirty socks. The undergarments, socks, and shampoo will allow my students to come in with a fresh body. When students are clean, have food in their bellies, and a way to organize their belongings, they are ready to succeed!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
