This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our girls soccer team is full of determined, hard-working student-athletes who show up every day ready to learn, train, and represent our school with pride. But unlike many teams we compete against, our players don’t have even the most basic cold-weather gear.

Here in Texas, the winter months can be brutally cold on the soccer field.

Right now, our girls have no team jackets, no warm-ups, and no proper outerwear to protect them. They come to practice and games in whatever they can find from home — hoodies, old coats, or sometimes nothing at all. It’s heartbreaking to watch their passion for the game overshadowed by shivering on the sidelines.

This project will provide:

Thick winter jackets so every girl has something warm for the coldest nights

Lightweight jackets and goalie tops for training and warm-ups on chilly days

Cones, hurdles, and a ball pump to help us run safe, effective practices and build the agility and strength our players need to stay competitive

Your support will do so much more than just provide jackets or equipment. It will show these girls that their hard work matters, that they are seen, and that their community believes in them. When they step onto the field warm, prepared, and confident, they’ll carry that pride into their classrooms and their future.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can keep these girls warm, safe, and inspired as they chase their goals — both on and off the field.
