Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds. The members participate in various community service projects, such as visiting the Loving Care Assisted Living Home for the elderly and disabled 4-5 times a year. They volunteer for the Zoo and serve as student clerks for the County Elections. They also participate in various clubs and school activities.
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), helps members develop essential soft skills by holding chapter officer positions, by networking with accomplished business professionals, and by participating in busies-focused workshops, seminars, and academic competitions.
Three of our students advanced to Nationals, and are eligible to attend the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, MD. We need your help to get our students there through your generous donations!
My Project
Raising funds for this trip will allow the students to compete with other students from National and International FBLA Chapters. It is a great opportunity to further enhance their skills, network with students and business professionals and expand their horizons.
They will see the diversity America has to offer.
They will learn leadership, interpersonal and soft skills that will be beneficial to their careers and their future.
This will give the members a great opportunity to experience the culture outside of El Paso and outside of Texas. This will encourage them to think about attending colleges outside of their hometown.
