Faux Stained Glass

Help me give my students Sharpies, Tracing paper, and transparency paper to create beautiful artwork.

My Students

My students are the best! They have many talents and a desire to learn. They get excited to try different kinds of visual arts. They're not afraid to work until they achieve success!

They come from hard-working, blue-collar and Air Force military families who have great pride in their community and school.

My students don't ask for expensive art supplies...just the basics.

We collect everything from aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, tissue paper rolls, and pine cones for art - just the basics.

My Project

The Faux Stained Glass each student creates is hanged in our big windows in the classroom. With the morning sun shining through the windows our room becomes a kaleidoscope of color. This makes our room beautiful.

We choose a theme for our project, and students create their drawings which are put on tracing paper.

The tracing paper is then put under transparency and re-drawn. Once drawn on the transparency, students use the Sharpies to add colors.

Many of the students in our School come by to see the Art.
