This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Donating to my resupply of basic class supplies is an investment in students' success both this year and next. In the classroom, students use a variety of supplies to create an engaging and effective learning environment. Colored pencils are essential for class projects and free time activities. Whether students are working on creative assignments, illustrating concepts, or simply enjoying some downtime, colored pencils help spark their imagination and enhance their learning experience. However, these supplies tend to get lost or worn out quickly, as they are frequently used for individual and group work.

These tools are integral to lessons and small group study sessions.

Dry erase markers and boards are another crucial resource. With new dry erase boards, my students can easily jot down ideas, solve problems, and actively participate in discussions. They're especially useful for hands-on practice, quick assessments, and reinforcing concepts. Unfortunately, dry erase markers dry out or disappear with regular use, often due to the fast-paced nature of classroom activities and students misplacing or losing them.

Pencils, the most frequently used item, are essential for daily assignments, note-taking, and tests. Despite their importance, pencils are constantly lost or broken, requiring a constant replenishment. Having a steady supply ensures that all students have the tools they need for everyday learning. When students don't have access to these basic supplies, they can become distracted or fall behind in their work.

Donating to this cause ensures that no student is left without the necessary tools for success. With regular use, these supplies are easily lost or damaged, but with your help, students will always have what they need to stay focused, engaged, and successful in their learning. Your support makes a tangible difference in their academic growth.
