Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a 4th-grade teacher in West Hills, CA to an exceptional bunch of students. My class comes to school excited to learn and they openly accept the challenges of our day!
Our classroom is full of curiosity and discovery, much of which is fostered through books, discussion, and discovery.
Fourth grade is a year of self-exploration, individual growth, and lots of change. It is in 4th grade that students learn the foundation for a lifetime and the skills necessary to navigate the world around them.
My Project
This project will give my fourth graders a way to design, create and use their imaginations while engaging in STEM activities in the classroom.
Magna Tiles are a sturdy and highly versatile building material that provide endless possibilities for my students to enhance their foundation in engineering.
To extend the building blocks, this project will also bring my students a set of wheels to design and create automobiles and modes of transportation--Not only are these building materials supporting learning, they are also a great way for my students to collaborate, laugh together, and design in teams to create something magical!
