This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students in Providence are caring, smart, and full of excitement! They love working together with each other to complete learning tasks and fun projects to expand their learning. They come to school eager every day to learn new things and socialize with their peers.
My students love hands-on activities, fun challenges, as well as calm and quiet reading time!
They are wonderful helpers and enjoy being leaders in the classroom. They put their best foot forward in all that they are learning and accomplish.
My Project
Flexible seating will provide my students the independence to choose their own work space that will help them make more effective learning choices.
When students are comfortable in their learning space and environment they will become more engaged and motivated in their academic experiences and learning.
The products that I have selected will help my students feel more comfortable while sitting and completing independent work. The chair bands are great for students who still choose to sit in a chair at a desk, but still need to wiggle around. The lap desk stands are a great tool for students who would prefer to work on the floor and/or rug.
I have seen positive effects from my students being able to choose the best learning space for them and I feel that with these flexible seating options, the effects will be even greater!
