This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an early childhood special education teacher of active, adorable, exceptional 3-5 yr olds.

My students attend a Title I campus.

My students have qualified as having a disability or suspicion of one. The early childhood activities provide interventions to help them develop social, language, fine and gross motor skills, and pre-academic skills, with possibilities of exiting the program by 6 years of age.

My Project

The class graciously received the ethnic family posable dolls from donors recently. It would be fascinating and fun for my young students to receive the play-around dollhouse and furniture! The family theme library has age-appropriate stories that can be read to my students for enjoyment and used for early literacy activities. The items can also be used for diversity, play centers, social, emotional, and social studies activities. Their young imaginations will be activated through role-playing using ethnic families, dollhouses, and furniture.
