This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work hard in class. They put their best foot forward and are inspired to do better. Their parents value education greatly but are often unable to support learning outside of the school day.

The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow; future doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and software designers.

As a teacher, it is my job to prepare these students for careers that are not in existence yet. By giving my students opportunities in the classroom to grow and succeed, I can see that I am shaping the future of our GREAT nation.

My Project

We would love to have a class set of biography books so that we could choose different famous persons for our biography book report projects.

Giving students the choice of who to read about is the best way to get them to want to read a chapter book about a famous person.

These biographies about famous persons are written specifically for children with special emphasis on things that the kids would be interested in. We would like to have a variety of biographies to choose from, so that our classmates can choose a historical figure that is interesting to them. With a class set of biographies we could allow a choice of persons, instead of being assigned a historical figure.
