This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Family math night is always fun, especially when you can play board games and have a chance to take them home to play with your family. I would like to conduct our 2nd annual math night while giving parents things they can do at home to help their child. Board games have many math skills in them such as recognizing numbers, dice patterns, learning how to structure numbers, and so on.

I want our students to be able to spend time with their family while developing math skills at the same time.

Since most of our families are way below the poverty level they do not have games at home to help them learn skills and communicate with each other. This provides them with this as well as a way to have fun as well.
