Family Game Kits

Help me give my students dice, counters, spinners, folders, and plastic envelopes to make take home game kits to play math and literacy games with their families. Learning sticks with repeated practice and when it is fun!

My Students

My students arrive to school excited and eager to learn. They are curious about their world and love learning through fun, hands-on activities. Our school is in a small rural community filled with students yearning to discover new things. On a daily basis I hear, "I love school!"

Educating a child is all about cooperation, collaboration, and communication.

As a teacher, it is my passion to do whatever I can to give all of my students the opportunity to learn through unique experiences. Often they simply need a catalyst to inspire them to exceed expectations. My job as their teacher is to find the sparks to help them discover their talents and the opportunities to grow!

My Project

My students love learning through games. They often do not realize that they are building foundation skills and working on their people skills (cooperation, turn-taking, learning how to win and lose respectfully) because they are busy having fun!

Playing games is essential to development because it contributes to children's cognitive, social, and emotional well-being.

Family game time offers parents and opportunity to engage fully with their children. These games will allow reinforcement of the essential foundation skills in reading, writing, and math. With these items, I can make a variety of game kits for students to use at home with their families. They will have an opportunity to practice important skills and have fun with their family! It is a definitely a win-win situation for my students and their families!
