My Students
Have you ever read a book you made a special connection with? By having my 4th grade class to read this book, it will ensure all of my students and edge up in reading comprehension and strategies.
My students are mostly struggling readers.
They enjoy reading books they can connect with however they also have a hard time with reading comprehension and other reading strategies. Since we have a class pet, my students can now relate to chapter books and novels having to deal with pet ownership. However all of the students enjoying reading anything they can relate to and feel they are apart of the bigger picture.
My Project
By donating to my project and supplying 23 copies of the book "Because of Winn Dixie", my students will be able to work independently and as a whole class on the same chapter book but at their own pace. They will also be able to create presentations, reports, skits and other activities to ensure success for all.
"The Falling Back in Love with Reading Project" will help students have the chapter books they need to increase their reading skills and lead them to academic achievement.
