Help me give my students the math manipulatives and file folder games needed, that have been proven successful, to help our little ones become the best mathematicians they can be.
My students come to school every day excited and ready to learn! They are eager to learn and try new things. I want them to know that I believe in them and they can do anything! I teach at a Title I, pre-k through 2nd-grade school in inner-city Ohio where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of the students are living at or below the poverty line. My students are creative, caring, and very energetic. Our classroom is a hands-on learning community. I work with children who are four and five-year-olds.
Their ability to love learning excites me to find new and exciting ways to teach things to them.
They love to learn about new things. They love to look up information online together and will ask many questions to learn as much as they can.
My Project
One of the most important components of PreKindergarten is to allow students to learn through multi-sensory. In PreKindergarten, the students are curious, excited and creative.
What a better way than to provide our little ones with some wonderful math file folder games and counting manipulatives to foster their learning.
My students will be able to understand math concepts, problem-solving, and become engaged in their learning.
Math is a critical need area and these games and manipulatives are just the thing to help get my students on the right track.
The file folder games include games that focus on numbers and counting, patterning and sorting, shapes and measurement, and beginning operations. An early love for math will begin a life long love for math! The math counters will allow for more hands-on learning with counting and more.
