This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
When children are not aware of the country or state they live in, something needs to be done!
My class is a diverse group of students.
They enjoy learning and always strive to do their very best, regardless of budget cuts or personal setbacks. Due to the fact that our school is a Title 1 school, many of our students do not have the resources needed to enhance their education.
My Project
With the help of your donation, my students will become familiar with important people, dates, and events that have occurred throughout the history of the United States of America. As a teacher, I need the resources to peak their interest so that they not only learn about our country but also want to travel to see landmarks and other important places within California and eventually other states.
I strongly believe that all students should have the opportunity to learn about our country, American holidays, and important people that have made an impact throughout history.
It's quite heartbreaking when students don't know that California is a state or that the country we live in is called "The United States of America".
