My Students
The elementary school that I work at is such a special place! Our students come to school each day ready to take on another day of learning. I am proud to say that every staff member at my school strives to provide the best place to learn for our students.
My goal is to create a school and classroom environment that is inviting, engaging, meaningful and full of passion!
My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives.
My students are the most enthusiastic group of students I have had yet. Each and every one of them brings something unique to our classroom. Thanks to your donations, I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society!
My Project
This project will provide my classroom with healthy snacks for my students to have access to in between meals during the school day. The school that I work at has a high percentage of students that come from low income house holds. While we are able to offer free breakfast and lunch to all our students every day, we do not have the funds to provide a snack for our students. Some days our schedule leaves students with 5 hours in between meals. Can you imagine getting your best work done when all you can think about is your next meal? I know I would not do my best work without a snack!
Being able to provide snacks and water to my students will help alleviate thoughts of hunger and allow them to focus on academics.
Every year our school nurse discusses with our staff how important it is that our students have full bellies and their thirst is quenched. My classroom does not have a water fountain and sending students to the water fountain is very disruptive. I put together an assortment of healthy well rounded snacks and reusable water bottles. I would love to have this project funded for my students to have snacks and water bottles to fill up for their learning time next year. Thank you in advance for your support in this project.
