Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the Dyslexia specialist on my campus, I have students walking through my door with a wide range of needs. Working with at-risk students requires being extra prepared. I try very hard to have supplies for most situations, such as feminine products, healthy snacks for students who don't have lunch, pencils they can keep, and candy for participation rewards.
My classes consist of amazing students.
Many of my students are English Language Learners, receive resource services, or are dyslexic, all share a think win-win attitude.
They consistently put in their personal best to contribute to our classroom community, fostering a sense of connection. I've requested command hooks, paper cups, dividers, and other consumable items such as candy and other small treats used as incentives for a job well done or reward participation.
