This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is full of diversity. To capture this diversity, we need multicultural paint to create self-portraits, but the fun doesn't stop there. Our kindergarten and first-grade students will be learning about fairytales very soon. I would like to enhance this learning in the art room by creating fairytale portraits.

Students will be able to turn themselves into kings, queens, wizards, or other fairytale characters.

The metallic markers, metallic papers, and gems will truly help create a special work of art that my students will be proud to show off to their parents. These portraits will be a great way to complete our unit on fairytales.
