My Students

Fairy Tales take the reader into a land of imagination!

My students come from a high-poverty area of Washington State.

They typically come to my classroom reading below grade level with little or no experience with super cool books. My students do not know about The Little Red Hen, Jack and the Beanstalk, or Sleeping Beauty, other than the movies they watch at home.

My Project

These books are amazing! I know that my students will love reading about Robin Hood, The Little Red Hen, different versions of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and other favorites. I chose books at different reading levels so all of my students can find a favorite story at their reading level.

My students typically read well below grade level and have little or no motivation or experience with reading.

My job is to motivate them with great books that will capture their imagination. What better way to do this than with fairy tales?
