My Project
I am a reading and math interventionist and work with wonderful students from kindergarten to fifth grade in a Title I school. My students love to come to my room to work on skills they need a little more help with and on Fridays we try to do fun activities connected to the skills we have been working on during the week. I would love to be able to connect math and literature by having these fairy tale STEM kits. These STEM kits will allow my students to have hands-on experiences with various fairy tales we read. They will be able to make deeper connections to text, use problem-solving skills, and learn to work cooperatively.
No matter the academic or ability level, all of my students have different learning styles that I strive to meet every day.
Our school is their home away from home and our tight-knit community works closely together to see that all students have the chance and the materials to grow.
