My Students

All students are special. That is what makes teaching such a great profession. It is inspiring to see them light up when they master a new concept or when they are proud of a project they completed.

The ability to close the achievement gap in our school is predicated on teachers not only having the heart to teach but also the tools needed to facilitate that learning.

Having 21st-century learning is a vision for our school.

My students come from many different cultural backgrounds. That is the beauty of our school. Our school is in the middle of Silicon Valley. Hence, technology is an important component of​ our school, though our school community also believes in the arts. Music is very important to our students, teachers, and parents.

My Project

Reading is crucial to students' success in all areas. Help me bring quality books to my students. These nonfiction books will provide my students with quality books to read and enjoy. They will learn how to research through reading as well as analyzing the text features these books provide.

I want to inspire my students to not only love fiction books, but also see the joy and importance in nonfiction writing as well.

With our new reading curriculum focusing on books and not just passages, these books will be hugely beneficial in providing my students quality literature. True stories can be more interesting than fiction!
