My students are wonderful children! Our school is in an urban area and most students qualify for free lunch. They come from many different home situations that are sometimes difficult for them and can cause challenges in the school setting.
My students are eager to learn despite their circumstances and inspiring when they choose to overcome and excel.

My Project
The ETA hand2mind Fact Fluency Kit with Number Strings will help my students improve their fluent recall of basic math facts.
The ability to recall basic facts quickly and easily will provide a firm foundation and greatly improve the way that they grasp concepts that they will learn later in math.
It will help them develop number sense and strategies that will help them be comfortable with numbers and mathematics in general.
We will be able to use these materials on a daily basis to help develop strategies and a relationship with numbers that will help them conquer important math skills that they will use in school and in real-life situations.
