My Students
Our students are special because they are hardworking students that put their best foot forward every day. Our students want to learn and choose our charter school do to so. We have kindergarten through ninth-grade students.
COVID has impacted our learning significantly.
Our Acadeience math and reading scores show the lowest scores we have seen in both mathematics and reading fluency. Our students lacked seat time, and instructional minutes due to COVID. Our students need more behavior and emotional support than ever before. Our attendance shows students are missing more school this year due to COVID exposure, quarantine, etc. Poor attendance also affects academic growth.
My Project
These fact fluency cards will allow our classrooms to each have a set. Our goal is to teach 10 minutes of extra fact fluency per day. These flash cards will also be used as anchor activities for students when they finish classwork. We plan to use these flash cards in math clubs, math pullouts, Tier1 instruction, and individual students as needed. These cards will be used to help close our achievement gaps from COVID. We believe in our students learning their math facts with automaticity, math will become easier for our students, and our Acadience Math scores will improve.
