Facilitating Strong Communication and Social Connections With Middle Schoolers
Help me give my students the tools to become digital creators as they tap into their natural skills of video making. They will use the 360 camera and tripods to create unique videos to communicate their learning.
My middle schoolers are craving social connections and ways to use technology to create and edit videos. In order to tap into the ways that middle schoolers communicate through social media, I have them create many videos to demonstrate their knowledge and communicate their understanding of the content they are learning. Tripods for iPhones and iPads will allow them to be more effective in their video creations and will allow them to be more creative and innovative in the way they record their productions. Social interactions have also taken a huge hit since COVID and my students need low pressure ways to interact socially with their peers. In order to facilitate this I often have days where we have a time for my kids to play board games for the end of our class period. The games we currently have are missing pieces and need to be replaced.
