My Project

Truly listening to what other people are saying is a skill that many students and adults lack. I would like to attend a virtual course that offers strategies on how to open lines of communication.

I am requesting attendance at iirp's Facilitating Listening Circles virtual event.

The topic under discussion will be "political division." The course will give me new strategies for how to get my students to speak honestly and openly in classroom circles. The course will also help me to gain new strategies for teaching students to listen to others.

Thank you for considering my project. It is my goal to help students to become better learners and better peers by listening to one another.
