Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In just one year, our brand-new high school theatre program has taken off—and our students are ready for more.

This past season, we successfully produced a full musical and a children’s show that brought joy, pride, and performance opportunities to our diverse student body.

It was a powerful start that proved what our students can do with vision, guidance, and a little support.

Next year, we’re dreaming even bigger—with a full mainstage season that includes:

Clue: High School Edition (Fall Play)

Anastasia: The Musical

Ms. Nelson is Missing (Children’s Show)

And for the first time, we’re launching a Musical Theatre competition team to give our students the chance to represent our school at regional and state events.

But to bring these productions and opportunities to life, we need theatrical theatrical and FX makeup supplies.

These aren't just performance tools—they’re pathways to professional opportunities.

The makeup industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in media. From Broadway to film sets, TikTok to red carpets, skilled artists in theatrical and special effects makeup are in high demand. By learning these skills now, our students gain a powerful head start on careers in stagecraft, cosmetology, content creation, and visual storytelling.

Our students—many of whom are bilingual, English language learners, and from economically disadvantaged backgrounds—are bursting with talent. With limited funding and cuts to arts programs nationwide, we’re missing the tools they need to fully participate in these artistic and career-building experiences.
