My Project
I am the librarian at a Pre-6 grade elementary school. I have a wide variety of ages, interests, and reading levels. Studies show that when books are displayed in a meaningful way, their circulation increases. I am requesting floating bookshelves that would allow highlighted books to be displayed so that students can see the front cover of the book. In addition, clear magazine holders will be able to hold and display different dewey decimal markers making it easier for students to find books. Students will often give up and not select a book fit they don not find a book quickly. These display holders will make it easier for students to quickly find what they are looking for.
