My Project
I have asked for a class set of digital timers. These timers will be used to build my students reading fluency throughout the school year. Three times per year the students are formally assess on their reading fluency. Words per minute read increase from 90 words to 115 words read correctly during their 4th grade year.
Self-monitoring reading fluency can be motivational and rewarding.
Students can record and graph their oral really fluency from the start of the year until the finally assessment. They will be able to see how their reading ability has increased .
