My Project

The supplies found in this project will help bring my science classroom into the 21st century. Many of the supplies are replacing old, outdated supplies that are barely functioning or not working at all, so we have done without them for the past few years.

My goal for this project is to purchase supplies that any teacher in the school can borrow and help facilitate learning in their science classroom as well.

I need students to create a solid foundation in science instruction so that by the time they get to 8th grade, they have a solid foundation with which to expand their learning to more complex topics of study.

The storage cabinet will be used to safely store chemicals and other materials that need to be locked/secured for our new curriculum beginning in the fall. The projection microscope will be available to all grade levels in the school to use. It will eliminate the need for class sets of microscopes and allow all students to view slides at the same time.

The digital scales and goggles will also be available for all classes to use. The digital scales will be a much needed update to replace our old (and mostly non-functioning) triple beam balances. The googles are necessary when doing any sort of activity involving chemicals.
