My students need 4 engaging activities such as the NeoSci DNA Murder Mystery to help them learn biology, chemistry, and physics in order to successfully learn the required material for the states standardized test. These students do not learn the same as many other students and therefore need hands on, engaging activities in which to meet their learning needs.
My students are fabulous students that want to learn science, but are challenged in their abilities through language or other means. The students would rather skip class than attend their classes because they feel are afraid of embarrassment. Most of these students are in 12th grade and have not passed the state standardized test. We are a public school located in the north central portion of Texas.
The challenge that we are faced with is that we do not have the supplies we need to engage these students in the learning process. Since these students do not learn through ordinary means and have failed many of their classes in the past, we need something different to get them over the hump. Forensics encompasses scientific skills as well as hitting on the biology, chemistry, and physics necessary for our state standardized test.
We need kits to springboard into discussion and learning of key concepts that will help the students to pass. Hands on activities and lab experiences are helpful for students who learn in a different manner. It is with great anticipation that we expect that this will help almost all of these students to overcome the standardized test and help them to be able to still graduate on time.
Your help will ensure that my students have every possible chance to be successful. These students are our future. They are the future leaders of our society. Einstein was not considered GT and often skipped his classes to go exploring on his own. We have so much to thank Einstein for and consider where we would be.
