My Students

Help us keep our eyes on the prize and learn from past history and famous events!

My students are 10th grade U.S.

History students from a very low income area in the city of Chicago. My school is a public CPS (Chicago Public School). The students demand to learn and want to be challenged. My goal as there teacher is to give them demanding material and content in a way that they can grasp.

My Project

These documentaries are essential to help any student make the history he/she is learning come alive. The documentaries are all extremely well made and cover topics such as the Civil Rights movement, Women's Suffrage, and other monumental historical experiences.

This donation will allow my students to see people like them or struggles they can relate with in other countries or parts of our own country.

This donation will help them to see that even though life is difficult progress can be made and life can improve.
