My students come in and out of the classroom throughout the day as a Special Eduction classroom. The students are using technology, i.e. Chrome Books, to receive instruction and complete assignments more than ever. They special students need all the help they can to process the information they are learning.
Often times the public will see disabilities, but I see possibilities in the students I teach.
Many of the students have sensitivities to sound and the headphones that sit over the ears block out unnecessary noise. Those that receive OT can benefit from larger buttons on the calculator. These exceptional students often need information taught in a variety of ways. By using the document camera, I can provide guided practice on those lessons that need just a little more guidance on learn the objective of the lesson.
