Extreme Home Makeover - Library Edition

Help me give my students options for flexible seating with easily cleaned chairs, cushions, and lap desks, plus inviting spaces with lamps, and options for quiet with noise-canceling headphones.

My Students

Students at our school are curious, innovative, and passionate about learning. They love to engage in self-directed exploration projects, work in teams to accomplish goals, read, perform, and create! Our students are civic minded and actively engage in social justice and environmental justice issues.

They seek to learn and develop skills that can help them be the leaders of tomorrow by being leaders at our school today.

My Project

Our library is in serious need of an upgrade, from paint on the walls and improved seating and lighting to updated technology that will enable more interactive media activities.

Having flexible seating and creating multiple spaces with lamps will let students be comfortable when in the library and better enable them to learn, create, and explore.

Our library also needs to include options for students to choose between sound levels while working since it is a smaller room. Creating multiple, inviting spaces will support student socioemotional needs and sense of belonging. Thank you for helping our library be a place kids, staff, and families want to be!
