it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is made up of diligent, inspiring, and creative fourth graders with big hearts and analytical minds. They attend school every day with purpose and a desire to learn something new, to discuss what they think, and take pride in their efforts. My students learn in a bilingual community with a high level of family support. They attend our school with growing technology opportunities that enhance their approach, application, and articulation of their knowledge and their new learning. We balance this with many opportunities to develop creativity and physical fitness through sports. We support the development of persistence, teamwork, and determination.
My Project
Direct instruction and student modeling in both whole group and small group is critical in teaching students various approaches to reading, writing, and working through mathematics. The magnetic whiteboard portable easel will be used by both teacher and students to demonstrate, explain, and articulate thinking processes as students learn and apply new concepts, practice skills, and teach each other through their growing knowledge and critical thinking skills. The whiteboard clipboards will be used throughout the curriculum to practice language arts and mathematics skills without the need to use paper when not necessary while supporting sustainability efforts in reduction of waste.
