My Students

The new Common Core Standards require 40% of our reading to be in the Non-Fiction genre. We need more resources to satisfy that requirement!

We are a group of young, bright and curious 1st graders.

We attend a 2nd year charter school in North Florida. It seems as though we are insatiable when it comes to learning new things, especially when it has to do with real life! We LOVE to read, write, and explore the world around us.

My Project

My students will receive a new Scholastic News Magazine, and a Science Spin magazine each week. Each issue will have topics aligned to the Common Core State Standards. As a teacher, I have asked for a guide to help me plan effective lessons to maximize their growth!
