Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Third grade is such a special year. This year I have 28 amazing students virtually and in-person. Working simultaneously has challenged me in so many ways, but is also very rewarding. As a teacher I have learned different aspects of teaching and focusing on how important family communication and making connections is.
My Project
With social media being what it is, students are not being exposed enough to the news and current events. With a weekly subscription of Time for Kids, my students will have access to news and current events happening nation wide and around the world. Social Studies is often put on the back burner, but with access to weekly subscriptions my students will never fall behind. With this wonderful resource, I will be able to provide my students will hands on materials where we can read and comprehend the issues happening around us.
