I am one of the literacy coaches at our school and we work with over 200 energetic third, fourth, and fifth graders that are so excited about learning. Many of our students in our intervention program struggle with their fluency while reading books and texts. These fluency cards will give them the extra practice that they need to build their reading fluency. Teachers can also use these cards with their students during their guided reading groups. Once students become more fluent as readers then they feel more confident in their reading ability and begin to read all of the time.
Also many of our intervention students also need extra practice with reading comprehension.
These cards will help our fourth and fifth graders to practice different comprehension skills and become more proficient. Please consider donating to our project and help give our students the gift of reading.
