This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Scholastic News Magazine is one of the most popular reading resources to utilize in the school classroom. It offers students the opportunity to perform close readings of relevant and current fiction and nonfiction pieces, as well as allow teachers to expand the range of text types used in classrooms for literacy instruction. Each month the magazines are linked to current event themes, so my students will be aware of the world around them. Having Scholastic Magazine as a literacy resource is helping students to advance to the next level.
Each magazine is exciting and my students love using them every year.
This has resulted in my students performing better. It is a fun experience for all!
