This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an educator in a low-income, Title I school with almost 500 children. This year will be my 13th year teaching. This year I will service 46 eager and ready scholars. They are excited about this school year and all of the fun activities that I have planned.
My goal this year is to make all of my students grow one grade level above where they are now.
I want all of my students to be successful this year. I want them to excel.
My Project
We would love these Scholastic magazines to be used in our class for reading as well as for social studies topics. They come with a lot of other resources too that would be utilized. I remember as a kid, my teacher subscribed to these magazines. I loved getting them every week. They are so informative and engaging. I want to foster a love of reading using books as well as magazines. I believe that my students will also enjoy receiving these weekly magazines. They cover a lot of topics so each child will enjoy them. These colorful learning tools would be greatly appreciated!
