Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Traditional resources in the 21st century are just not enough to spark students' interest in learning. "Great teachers show their students how to move mountains for themselves." I want to open the minds of my students and empower them to reach their ultimate goals in the fields of Reading and Language Arts.
Most of my students are Hispanic.
They love to create and explore concepts through different genres. The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic status, therefore many of my students don't have access to materials needed to have a rich print environment and exploration at home.
My Project
Reading Comprehension Bundle will be use daily during reading centers to enable students to analyze texts for richer reading comprehension! This bundle includes high interest, complex texts and grade appropriate activities that encourage close, deliberate reading in a variety of genres.
These Reading centers will encourage students to examine author’s purpose, determine theme, cite text evidence and more.
This reading bundle will address the needs of all students during differentiated instruction. The bundle also Includes reproducible assessments and teacher’s cards to make measuring student progress a breeze and simple for the students as well. Let's make reading fun and interesting for all students!
