My Project
Scholastic News magazine brings age-appropriate current events and nonfiction content into the first-grade classroom, helping students build reading skills while staying informed about the world around them. It supports literacy development, vocabulary growth, and critical thinking through engaging topics and interactive activities. Having this resource fosters curiosity and connects learning to real-life experiences in a meaningful way.
Having both print and digital versions of Scholastic News offers young learners multiple ways to engage with the content, supporting a variety of learning styles and needs.
The print version helps develop foundational reading skills, while the digital version enhances understanding through enrichment activities like learning games, online quizzes, and brain breaks. Together, they create a dynamic, interactive learning experience that keeps students motivated and deepens their connection to real-world topics.
