My Students

My students’ families have chosen to have their children attend my school in order to succeed. Many do better at our school with the smaller class sizes and more one on one time tailored to their specific needs. The school services students of many ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. Right now I am teaching two classes combined so I need more materials to supply two classrooms.

My Project

Since we are now in person I have a lot more students I will be educating. We cannot share supplies still and I am teaching combined third grade of 26 students. I want to make sure that each student has access to the same materials in a safe environment.

These materials will make it easier for students to develop better number sense and allow them to physically manipulate pieces to make numbers for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

The skill of regrouping and borrowing is difficult for many of my students and these hands on pieces will help them understand and love math better!
